Gameday in Leuven for the first leg of the semi final CL qual between USG & Rangers.
Game is played in another stadium because the home stadium of USG isn't allowed to play in european competition so they have to play in another city.
USG started the domestic league with a draw against Sint Truiden & then a win over Charleroi. On both games they played well.
Rangers on their side started their competition the last week end and won 1-2 where they played very good and would have deserved to win by more.
For me the odds are totally wrong. USG made an historic season last year with so much good performance for a newly promoted team and they could fight with Brugge until the end of the year for the tittle.
USG changed their staff this season, their coach who made a big work left to Anderlecht. They lost also some of their key players Key midfielder Nielsen left to Brugge. Key striker Undav left to Brighton, he scored 26 goals and made 12 assists. They are going to hire the striker Boniface because in front it's still difficult for them at the moment but of course he will not be there for this clash.
As I said it's an historical game for USG because it's not a team used to play at that kind of level and with the departure they got this season I don't rate them ready.
I rate first Rangers stronger about the qualities they have and they will prepare this game very seriously. Giovanni Van Bronckhorst knows that they did amazing last year and he doesn't want his team to be surprised.
With players as Kent, Tavernier, Morelos, Lundstram, Kamara etc I rate Rangers much stronger here.
